"traceroute" is one of three experimental podcasts hosted on lambdat3.live developed by our class in the second year of our studies at DAT.
Upon listening, you embark on a journey that sonifies the process from the moment someone presses enter after inputting a web address in the address bar of a browser up until the moment that address (website) shows up on the screen. To be more specific, the sonified journey is actually from the address of this podcast's website lambdat3.live.
Traceroute is a joined project (together with Isaac and Kaan) that developed naturally. We went on some nice field trips to track down the locations of the data centers from our journey and recorded our assets with the help of some field recorders. The website where the podcasts reside is also a joined project, made together with Robin.
